Declan Kelly and the Dieseln’Dub crew were recently honoured to be invited to headline the Mahbilil Festival in Jabiru, Arnhem Land in Australia’s far north. DND rock Bluesfest 2015

Dieseln’Dub made a breathtaking impact when they hit the Mojo stage for their Bluesfest debut, proudly wearing shirts emblazoned with the protest “STOP The Forced Closures of Remote Aboriginal Communities” in solidarity with over 150 communities across Western Australia in danger of being shut down by the Australian Federal and WA State Governments. Deemed as “unviable” by the Premier of WA Colin Barnett and dismissed as “lifestyle choices” by the Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, the communities have called out for support from the wider population to recognise their connection to country and the lands that have been home to their ancestors for tens of thousands of years. DND join Bluesfest line up

Beds are Burning music video

Declan Kelly officially launches the music video for Dieseln’Dub’s reggae-dub version of the monster Midnight Oil hit Beds are Burning. Featuring Frank Yamma and Pat Powell on vocals, Beds are Burning is the second single to be released from Kelly’s recently launched album Diesel n’Dub, a stunning compilation of Midnight Oil hits reinvented in the dub-reggae style.

Eastcoast CD Launch

After their now legendary live debut at Australia’s premiere Indigenous event Garma Gathering last month, peaking with a performance on ABC Q&A program broadcast live across the country, Declan Kelly’s massive Diesel n’Dub juggernaut hits the road to launch the just released CD. With the assistance of a Presentation and Promotion grant awarded by the Australia Council for the Arts Kelly takes the live show along the East Coast in October/November.

Art & Album launched!

After a stunning live debut at Garma Gathering, peaking with a performance on ABC Q&A program, the full Diesel n’Dub album was released on 5th September by Diaspora Music in recognition of National Indigenous Literacy Day. It’s been a dream run for Declan, a highly respected Sydney musician and producer who hatched the idea a couple of years ago of reinventing some of Australia’s most powerful protest songs into dub-reggae anthems.

Australia Council for the Arts

In huge news just in, the Diesel n’Dub project has been successful in obtaining a grant for the Presentation and Promotion of the new album by the Australia Council for the Arts. Diesel n’Dub join a field of artists in the Performance and Touring Categories to present the project live on tour.

Live Garma debut!

Diesel n’Dub’s live debut at Australia’s premier Indigenous cultural event, Garma Festival sparked intense media interest resulting in an invitation to perform a closing song for the live broadcast of ABC’s Q&A program beaming live across the nation from the festival site.
